November promises to be an exciting month for outdoor activities and community building with Soul Trak Outdoors!
We’re kicking things off on November 11th with an Introduction to Archery course. Participants will enjoy an hour of hands-on instruction in basic archery skills. Invicta Sports Club in Gaithersburg will provide all necessary age-appropriate equipment, including recurve bows, arrows, targets, armguards, and quivers.
Following the archery class, join us for our Monthly Bouldering Night at the DC Bouldering Project. Climbers of all experience levels are welcome to push their limits and connect with others in a fun, supportive environment.
Additionally, we’re excited to offer a Leave No Trace Training Level 2 Instructor Course. This comprehensive program will cover Leave No Trace techniques through discussions, scenarios, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, both in the classroom and in the field. Participants will be equipped to be exceptional educators on Leave No Trace principles.
Lastly, we’re partnering with the Global Climbing Initiative to host an affordable outdoor skills clinic. Alongside this clinic, Soul Trak and our partners will screen the documentary “Climb Malawi.” This film explores the vibrant climbing community in Malawi, highlighting a project by the Global Climbing Initiative. It features Genevive Walker, Mario Stanley, Liz Ndindi, and Scott Clark as they mentor local climbing leaders. With intimate interviews and stunning footage of Malawi’s landscapes, “Climb Malawi” showcases the potential of climbing in this southeast African country and the transformative power of mentorship.
Be sure to check out our programs below. We look forward to having you there!
