September 2024

This month we are excited to host our Climbing Club, College Ambassador Cohort, Open Paddling at the Georgetown Waterfront, and Crag Stewardship Day at Great Falls Climbing Area.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at these great opportunities this month!

Join Our 6-Part Outdoor Climbing Program with Sportrock Climbing Center!

We’re excited to partner with Sportrock Climbing Center to offer a transformative 6-part outdoor climbing program designed to take your skills to the next level! Whether you’re a beginner or have some climbing experience, this course will guide you through essential techniques like knot tying, belay training, and anchor setting, all in the stunning natural settings of Carderock Recreation Area and Great Falls National Park—just 15 minutes outside of DC.

Each session is crafted to build your confidence and technical skills, ensuring you leave feeling empowered and ready to tackle more challenging climbs. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow climbers and form a strong, supportive community.

Please note: When climbing at Great Falls, there is a park entrance fee of $10-$20 per visit unless you have a park pass. To help reduce costs, we highly encourage carpooling with other participants.

Join us for a morning of open paddling on the picturesque Potomac River through the Washington Canoe Club, hosted by Soul Trak Outdoors! This event provides a fantastic opportunity for paddling enthusiasts of all skill levels to explore the waters, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and connect with fellow paddlers.

Enjoy free access to a variety of canoes and kayaks, courtesy of the Washington Canoe Club. PFD (Personal Floatation Devices) are required and provided.
